Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Who else still has DC in their room?

DS still sleeps in our room and I don't think I'm going to move him for quite a while. It seems like there have been tons of posts lately on 0-6 about moving baby to the crib. I don't understand the rush. I love having him right next to us. It makes me feel so happy and calm. Am I the only one left?

Re: Who else still has DC in their room?

  • DD has been in my room for the last week since she's been sick. I have to say I've missed her sleeping in our room. I love having her right there with me. But alas, I will put her back in her room. I am too afraid she will never leave our room if I keep her in there too long.

  • we didn't start transitioning to her crib until around 7-8 months.  and it's not really working anyway. she'll sleep half the night in her crib and then one of us ends up sleeping with her in her room on the pull out bed.  in fact, she's upstairs in our room in bed with dh right now.
  • Kate will be with us for at least another year.
  • DS is still in our room in the crib.  If we had more room he would be in his own.  Hopefully in the next couple months we will move him in w/ DD, but she's 8 so she's not too keen on this idea.
  • DD slept in our arms for month one, in a bassinet for months 2-4, in a crib in her room for months 4-7, and back in our room co-sleeping with us ever since.  We're perfectly happy to have her with us and don't see any hurry in moving her.

  • DD is still in our room (in her crib) at 9mos with no immediate plans to move her.

  • DD still sleep with us and we have no plans to move her. I love my super special cuddle time! Plus, it sure beats actually getting out of bed to tend to her at night. I just roll over and pull out a boob and go back to sleep!
  • We just moved him last week because he reached the weight limit for the pack n play bassinet

  • Alyssa will be with us for another year at least.
  • We moved her at 6 weeks only because she was sleeping so well and so long at night and I had to start getting up for work at 1:00. We didn't want my alarm waking her up in the middle of the night. Other than that, we loved having her with us.
