XP: Can't stop crying

I just found out that I'm not getting a job I had been interviewing for since right after DD was born -- the position would allow me to work part-time from home vs. the 60+ hrs a week I work at my office right now. For the same amount of money. All the interviews went so well, I thought it was in the bag. Turns out, I'm *over* qualified apparently.

Now I can't look at my DD without crying and thinking about how hard it will be to go back to work full-time in a few weeks. I am heartbroken.

  • I'm sorry. I hope you find another opportunity soon.

  • That sucks! Don't give up hope yet. You never know what might happen. The other candidate may fall through. If anything, you know that the kind of position you want exists out there and you got as far as you did through the interview process. Take a day or two for the pity party and then get back in the game. If you're qualified, you'll find something ideal!!  PS that's the bummer about job interviewing and job searching. It can change winds so quickly. Nothing is predictable. Good luck!!
