So I put a propsal in a while back that would basiclly allow me to be a work-from-home-mommy when the baby comes. I'd still maintain office hours from my home office via cell and internet and I'd still attend staff meetings and have some 'face-time' in the office but mostly work from home. I've been with this company for nearly 8 years and from my perspective the proposal makes a tonne of sense both for our family and for the company. We've already decided that doing IA from an orphanage that daycare is not an option for at least the first 3 or 4 years so this meeting to evaluate my proposal pretty much determines whether or not I keep this job. If it's a no, I'll need to find other employment that works around DH's schedule cuz right now we have the same office hours. Pray for me!!!!
Oh wow -- I hope it works out for you! I work from home too, but my telecommuting agreement stipulates that I have to have in or out of home childcare until any children are schoolage.
So even though I'm home, I wouldn't get to spend the day with them.
Good luck. I hope it works out for you. As a WOHM who works from home 1 day a week, I will say that it is pretty close to impossible to work from home unless you have someone else watching the baby. As it is, the one day a week I work from home, I have to put in all of my work late at night after my daughter has gone to sleep. Fortunately, I am going to part-time soon.

Because we're fancy like that.
