SO P!SSED OFF!!!!!! (Vent)

So I failed my 1 hour glucose test a couple of weeks ago.  My doctor told me I would have to take the 3 hour.  Not looking forward to it, but it's better to know than not.  I didn't eat anything after 8:00 the night before, but I couldn't get in to take the test until 1:00 b/c I had class all morning.  Of course when I got there I didn't feel very good, the drink tasted like sh!t, and there is only one place you can get blood out of my arm - so yeah, all 4 sticks went in the exact same spot.  This was last Friday.  My doctor's office doesn't call unless there's a problem.  So I didn't get a phone call all week.  I was really excited thinking I had passed the test.  Went to my doctor's appointment today and low and behold my samples are missing.  After searching for them for hours they discover that the lab left them sitting out all weekend.  Now I get to do the entire thing over again.  Oh gee, thanks!  I'm glad we pay so f'ing much for Kaiser Insurance.  It's obviously worth every single penny.   Grrrrr....  I hate fvck ups!   Angry

    Oh my god - I would honestly have to beat someone down. At least they should find the lab tech responsible and make her sit and do the three hour test right alongside you as punishment!

    no way....i would ask if i can just take the one hour again...did you fail by a large margin?  There is NO WAY i would do the 3 hour again....i had such a horrible time with it

    Okay, it'd be bad enough to do the 1 hour twice so I can only imagine how bad the 3 is.  Your vent is completely justified...sorry!

    I got a 150; my doctor's office requires a 120 to pass, so no, they won't let me do the 1 hour instead.  Thanks for the suggestion though.
