I am Catholic and do not eat meat on Fridays during Lent. We will usually have pizza, pasta, fish, breakfast foods (french toast and pancakes) etc. We always go to Red Lobster on the first Friday during Lent so that is where we will be going instead.
We are both Catholic. This year I get to eat meat because of the baby. Oh yeah...Thank you Fr Pedro!!! It's a good thing because baby janie DOES NOT like Veggi burgers.
Did he give up anything for lent this year??
I gave up Myspace LOL. I'm a big myspacer because my extended family is on there. DH vowed to study the book of Mark.
Edit: I forgot to give you ideas. Macarronni, Meatless spaggetti, portabella mushroom burgers, Fish, and tofu for added protien.
I don't eat meat it's generally fish, pizza, pb&js or breakfast without the bacon.. DH doesn't like fish so it's usually a two dinner friday for us if I get seafood.
same as merjmm, lots of pizza, lots of fish, lots of salads, its not so bad since it's just once a week.. here's a yum salad recipe to get you through tonight
romaine lettuce, carrots, celery, feta cheese, craisins, and Ken's Lite Asian Sesame. it's really yummy and very filling, good with salmon too...if anyone else has a good non-meat recipe I'd love a peak!
We're both Catholic, so today we're taking our favorite southwest chicken and rice recepie and using shrimp instead of chicken. Next Friday'll probably be tilapia, pasta, and salad. Pretty much just do our regular dishes, but subsitute fish or shrimp in for the meat.
DH and I are both Catholic and I don't eat meat on Fridays during lent, DH is not very strict about it.
I always make breaded cod fillets with tartar sauce, I never get tired of them. I'll probably also make french fries (just for DH) and succotash or some other veggie side every Friday until Easter.

We generally do sushi for dinner, but we did that already on Ash Wednesday. We're having orange roughy tonight. For other meals, a lot of tuna fish sandwhiches, salads, egg salad, and McDonald's Filet O Fishes! They are soo good and lent is the only time they are fresh! (not sitting around under a heat lamp for hours)

Red Lobster sounds so good right now! I bet you there will be a two hour wait tonight though, LOL.
We already thought of that! We called ahead
