Phenergan Injection Site???

Where did they give you this shot?  In the arm or the butt?  Because when I had my migraine on Tuesday, they gave me this shot in the arm and I don't think that was a good idea.  It has been hurting and the muscle doesn't feel right.  It's kind of numb and hard and I know this sounds weird, but it's kind of spasming when I move my arm certain ways.  I googled it (I know better- shouldn't have done that) and it is totally freaking me out.  I'm trying to get in with my doc today, but I'm just curious if anyone else has had this injection in the arm?

    I got mine in my right arm (shoulder).  It was very sore for a several days later but now it is fine.  I hope you are ok!

    I've only ever had phenegran via IV or orally so I can't help you.  Sometimes shots just make you sore.  I hope its OK!

    Its just one of those shots that given IM (intermuscularly) that cause soreness...much like a DtP shot will do.   You should be fine in a couple of days.  I'm sorry...I know how much that hurts!

    Sorry for your pain! I have learned to hate phenergan as a nurse....have you ever gotten compazine...that, at least, has other routes (some not so pleasant - rectal). Try some warm compresses to your muscle, preferrably moist, and see if that helps it absorb. Sometimes you can get a cyst kind of thing from injections if it doesn't absorb, but they eventually go away.
