Laundry Soap Q?

When is it ok to was DC's clothes with your regular laundry soap and not have to use "baby detergent"?

Re: Laundry Soap Q?

  • I switched awhile back but we use Free and Clear anyway because of my sensitive skin.  DD has sensitive skin also.

  • We've never used baby detergent. Both of our kids have had their clothing washed with the rest of the family's clothes in our regular detergent since day one. (We do, FWIW, always use a scent-free detergent.)
  • We never used the "baby" soap. We have been using All Free and Clear since DD was born, and I love that stuff. I have used regular detergents a couple of times and she has been fine. We use fabric softener all the time

  • We are moving from free and clear to regular soap now.  I have finally used up the free and clear and am just not a fan of it.
  • I switched at around 11 months, when I ran out of Dreft.  I really think it all depends on your child though as some kids have more sensitive skin than others.  I know some people never use a special soap.
