2nd Trimester

help me decide- what's a better bday gift

for my H

1)  he actually, for once, gave me a hint- which never happens.  He would like a flatscreen monitor for his office computer

2) he is a hardcore red sox fan, and i was thinking about getting tickets to red sox yankees at fenway, so we could take the train (3-4 hrs) and spend a night/weekend in boston.  I will be 33 weeks that weekend.

Re: help me decide- what's a better bday gift

  • I think #2 would be more fun, but I buy boring practical gifts so I would buy #1

  • You might want to go with #1. Good luck even getting the tickets for #2.  You should check price and availability first since if there are tickets they are probably really expensive!
  • I would say the screen.... but I am a Yankees fan. haha! The game would actually be a blast I think! If you are up for it...
  • I'd go with the flatscreen - not sure if I'd want to sit for 3-4 hours on a train at 33 weeks pregnant. (Of course, I've never been 33 weeks pregnant before, so what do I know!)

  • I guess I'll be the minority here-I think #2 would be great.  But then again I always want to travel/go places even if it's just for a day or two.  It could be like one last fling before the baby comes!

  • #2 sounds like a lot of fun, but at 33 weeks you may not be up for a 3-4 hour train ride and a baseball game (I'm sure those seats would be uncomfortable!).  Maybe go with option #1 and save #2 for next year.
  • I vote the baseball thing- it is time sensitive.  Once baby comes,  he may not get the opportunity.  The monitor will be a great Father's day or XMas gift!

  • I choose 2!  I'm a HUGE baseball fan, and it sounds like it could be a mini-babymoon for you two!
  • BTW, unless there are complications you should be fine at 33 weeks.  When I was pg with DD, we went to Italy when I was 28 weeks for 2 weeks- SO I was flying at 30 weeks, and the whole time I was there we went on trains, boats, trollies, you name it and walked for hours and hours every day.

  • As a die hard Red Sox fan I would say go to the game and spend time in Boston. There is so much to do in Boston, you will for sure have a great time!

  • Flat screen monitor
  • The baby's not enough? :)

    # 2 sounds better to me, I would tell his family he wants the flatscreen- that's a good "tell other people" gift
