I'm just know feeling better and my dd is 8 months old. I was feeling sore and sharp pain where my ob said the knots of the stiches were. Sometimes I would feel a tug at my incision. Ob said that was normal and some women can take up to two years to recover. I still get jabbing pains if I over do excericise or bending, but its gotten a lot better. I also went back on birth control to balance out my hormones and that helped to. Good luck!
Nope, no pain, just itchiness if my underwear or the waistband of my pants is rubbing against it. I do have some slight numbness around the area, but definitely no pain.

No pain, but it does hurt if DS hits me there or DD decides to try and climb my fat rolls!
I had my annual this week and the Dr. said I have a hypertrophic, or keloid, scar. I was like "huh?", because I thought it was normal. Turns out my scar is slightly raised (not even with skin) and she said this can happen to some people (just like some people have scars that are sunken or dimpled). It just means that when my body was healing it overproduced the tissue that heals the skin. It is also still pretty red and itches on occasion. She prescribed a cream to put on it 2x a day to help with the itching and should make the redness go away. She said if it continued to bother me she would send me to a dermatologist to get collagen injections to help it. I don't think it is bad at all, but the cream has helped.
If it is bothering you then I would definitly ask your doctor!

Yes I do. I can only describe it as a deep aching pain. I get itching, tingling etc... in the scar and still have no feeling in my belly It does hurt though.?

Thanks for the replies. This is why I asked, I have the same thing I guess... it's a deep aching pain, it's almost like menstrual cramps but closer to the incision and tighter feeling... but it's not the scar itself, it's deeper. Also if DD kicks my belly it feels really sore.
I have to go for my annual anyway, so I'm going to call and make an appointment and ask my OB then.
Re: ? for 6-12mos c/s moms
I never do, but I think I was really lucky when it came to recovery -- everything went pretty smoothly.
In the words of the very modest surgical fellow who did my c/s:
"There will be no scar. I did it perfectly." Don't think he's right on that one, but ah well:-)
