BuyBuy Baby returns question

We got 2 car seats for a shower and can't return one to website it was purchased from b/c we don't have a receit and it has been more than 90 days since purchase date.  I know that BBB has the same car seat on their website and I'm wondering if I could return the seat there for store credit even though it wasn't purchased there?

Has anyone ever tried to return something there without a receipt?

    I have taken some things there that I received as a gift and one item I know did not get bought there but they sell it and they took it back without a receipt and gave me store credit.

    just dont tell them you got it there.  they are really great about returns.  they will take it back without a problem and give you store credit!

    If you have the packaging they will take it back for store credit.
