I didn't. that girl the other night made a snide comment about Blaire and Natalie's names and asked if I'd name another one Tootsie. then, she typed in what I later figured out was the theme soong from that show.
I've never seen that show, from what I can remember, and the only reason I recognized the theme song was b/c in college my sorority participated in this thing called All Campus Sing with the other frats and sororities. One year, our theme was TV shows from the 80's. It took me a while to figure it out though.
I knew Blaire's name was a character on the show b/c my aunt told me the only Blaire she'd ever heard of was on that show, but she's never mentioned it about Natalie's.
Anyway, I don't care. I love both names, and that's what I want to name her. I just wonder if anyone else on here thinks of that when you see my tickers??
Re: did anyone else rec. my DDs' names as characters from the Facts of Life?

I noticed it, but doubt that many people will make the connection.
It's "Tootie". ?"Tootsie" was a Dustin Hoffman movie. ?;-) ?Sorry, I'm a dweeb.
And no, I hadn't connected it until she said that - I think you are letting something silly get to you though.?
Belle - I think I'm older than you
I'm 32. Maybe I should put it in my Blockbuster Queue.
Here I am quoting again. It was my comment about the quote feature that kind of got me in the mess to begin with.
I cannot believe that someone would associate a name with weight. And then say that to you! Someone on here a while back said they read that "natalie" was a fair-haired girl name. I had never heard that, either. but, I don't look at meanings of baby names, either. I just go with names I like.
Blaire was supposed to be Evelyn Claire, but we went with Jacquelyn Blaire b/c DH wanted our firstborn to have his (deceased) father's initials. My first thought was Blaire and Claire rhyme and we'll call her Blaire, and just find another first name. That's what we did. My sister suggested JonBenet, but we said "nah".LOL!
Yeah, I've noticed it and sadly wondered if future daughters might be named Tootie or Jo.
I do like both names, though. It shouldn't matter what other people think of their names. You should give your girls names that you and your H like as those are the only opinions that matter.

Ugh, me too femme!
If I'm totally honest, yeah, I had thought about it
, but as pp said, as long as you love the names, who cares.
And ya also have to cross the name Garrett off the list for future boys (the house mother's name on the show was Mrs. Garrett)
honestly, yes, i immediately thought of the show.
