And there is one piece of bacon in the skillet ![]()
As I am sure a lot of you understand there is that feeling of "but what happened to the other one?" But we are overjoyed and much more ready for 1 baby. The baby was measuring 6w6d. No one seemed concerned about it being a tad behind but if anyone can reassure me that that's ok, I wouldn't mind. We not only got to see the HB, we also got to hear it! That I wasn't expecting it and it was the most amazing thing ever. It's little heart was flickering at 133 bpm. The doctor said that I could quit with the progesterone, but since I'm such a nervous wreck, they are going to test my levels first. They can't do that while I'm on the endometrin, so they placed an order for yet another kind of progesterone (it's a shot but not PIO). I will switch to that on Monday so that they can draw my blood on Tuesday. If all is good, no more progesterone (scary).
I will post later with the pics

Yaaaaaaay! I am so excited for you! And I completely understand the "but what happened to the other one?". I felt that way after my first u/s as well - and it surprised me how sad I was. Extremely excited about the baby, but still sad.
And yay for getting to both see and hear the heartbeat - that's a great number! I didn't get to hear it at the last one - they said I would at tomorrow's or next week's and I cannot wait!
I'm curious what the new projesterone injection will be - it's got to be nicer than the supps or the PIO! And I know I'll be so nervous coming off of progesterone. I know it'll be ok, but I've gotten used to being on it and knowing that it's keeping my numbers up - even if I may technically not need it. It will be nice to stop when the time comes, but I'm ok with staying on for now! lol
Ok - wow, I just wrote a novel. Sorry about that! I'm so excited for your little baby and I can't wait to see pics - CONGRATULATIONS!

hooray! and def. no worries on the baby measuring a little behind- it's only like 2 days & my nurse said it fluctuates anyway.
that's a nice, strong heartbeat though!!! congrats!
and i totally know what you mean about "where's the other one?"- i was a little bummed simply because i wanted both of them to make it, but we're also a little relieved in a way because we're way better prepared to handle just one- at least for our first time around

I am sure that "it" will catch up. Congrats!
What will your nickname for your baby be? Bean? Bacon?
Not bacon. That's reserved for MB. I need to come up with something though
