Who have babies born in September/October?

I was hoping someone could help me figure out summer clothes.  My daughter was born Oct. 7th - I'd like to start buying clothes for this summer (there is a huge consignment sale this weekend I'm going to stock up on).

What did your 9-12 month wear in the summer time? 

What size were they in?

    My daughter was born Nov. 9th and was in 12 month clothes in the summer.  She moved into 18 month clothing in the fall.  She's always been a chunky baby (75th percentiles) if that helps.

    DS was born October 11th and has always been around the 60-70th percentile in size. 

    He wore 12 mo. clothing all summer.  Towards September, he started getting too big for the 12 mo. clothing and I had a few 18mo tees but I could have kept him in 12 mo. stuff.  He's been wearing 18mo. clothing all fall/winter until last week when I started adding 24 mo. clothing.

    Obviously, it really depends on the size of your baby.  My friend has a baby born in July and her son was very small for his age.  He was in 9 mo. clothing all summer and is only now wearing 12 mo. clothing.

    DD was born at the end of November, and she wore 3-6 month clothes all summer, or up until she was 9 months. I made the mistake of buying 6-12 month summer clothes on sale in the early spring, thinking they'd definitely fit her. She only got to wear them once or twice. :(

    If your DD is average (50%), you can probably expect her to wear 6-12 months during the summer. If she's big or small for her age, you might want to buy a few things up (12-18 months) or down (3-6 months) in size.

    My DD was born 9/21. I think you'd be safe to buy her 6-12 month outfits (Carter's does their sizing like that). It all depends though, how much does she weigh now? Is she a fast gainer or a slow gainer? My DD never gained more than a couple lbs every 3 months.

    Personally I'd play it safe and get her 12 mo clothes because by the end of the summer she'll barely be squeezing in those! Happy shopping!

    Alex is Oct. 8th!  Both my girls were in 12 month at 6 months.  So, 12-18 mo.

    thanks so much!  Avery is about average in weight (44% percentile).  6-12 will probably be perfect.

    She is tall for her age - I am always struggling to find pants that are long enough but skinny enough for her now.  

    Summer time should be good because it's ok if she's wearing "capris" - LOL!

    DD was born right around that time and is also tall. She was in either 9 mths or 12 mths and 6-12 in gap/old navy.
