Moms who live in the South, what does/did your infant wear in the spring/ summer?

Okay I think pregnancy sucked the brain cells out of me cause I feel so dumb that I won't know how to dress my baby.   I swear as the time gets closer, I feel more and more stupid.  Like I won't know how to do "this" or I won't know how to do "that".

He will be born in the spring, so what the heck do I put him in clothes wise during the day?  Sleepers with feet with a onesie undershirt underneath?  Sleepers with no feet, with a onesie undershirt underneath?  Or just a cute onesie (I got 17 billion of them) and socks?   What about for the summer? We have central air, so the house will be pretty cool (but not freezing)

I know that I can go out and buy clothes as I need them.  Clothes wise all I have are 17 billion light cotton sleepers with feet, 10 billion Sleepers with no feet (at least they look like sleepers, who knows they could be rompers and I'm too dumb to know),  17 billion onesies, and a few pair of cotton pants.

  • Usually she was just in a onesie if we were at home, and I'd put a pair of shorts over them if we were going out. I always had a receiving blanket handy to throw over her when we went anywhere.

  • Don't feel bad, I have been wondering the same thing and was just planning to wait until closer to my due date to post the same question.  Embarrassed  Evan was a Nov baby, so I know what they wear during the day and night, but a summer baby??  Smile
  • He wore a onesie and a swaddle banket for at least the first 10-12 weeks...  then we started wearing "outfits"..  usually a romper or other one piece type thing..
  • During the day, a onesie and socks plus a cotton "thermal" blanket to keep her warm if needed.  At night, long sleeved cotton pajamas with sock (or sleepers with built in feet).  I didn't start double-layering sleep wear until it got chilly here.
  • He was either in a light cotton sleeper or a onesie.
