Another TMI ? for 2nd time moms...

Ok, so I was reading the sex post from earlier and some of you said that you were having sex again really soon after birth? Not to be too terribly nosey, but were you still bleeding then? I've talked to several friends w/babies and read some things that say many women bleed for up to 8 weeks after giving birth? Is this different for some people? Sorry, I know it's TMI!

    I was pretty much done bleeding in 3wks.  It was BAD for the 1st 48hrs and then it tapered and I had gushes here and there and clots here and there and then it went away.

    i had blood for about 7 weeks...i remember still having some light bleeding at my 6w Pp check up- and it lasted a few more days.

    I did not have sex until 4months PP!!  I had a 4th degree tear- so there was no way i was even thinking about sex for a while after that... i was in pain for over 8w and then just plain scared after that!!

    I had a c/s and bled for 2 weeks plus 2 weeks of spotting.  However, we didn't have sex until probably 4 months pp.

    I had a vaginal delivery and bled for one week . . . maybe a little into the second. That was it, though. I was given the okay by my doc at 6 weeks, and DH and I tried that night. It was painful for me that first time, but it gradually got better.

    I bled for almost 8 weeks with my first and a little less than 2 weeks with my second, both vaginal deliveries. With my first we waited 10 weeks to have sex for the first time. I only had a small tear and felt okay before then but at my 6 weeks check the dr. noticed I didn't heal correctly in one spot so that had to be corrected. With ds we waited until 6 weeks. I was ready for sex before but since I had felt fine with dd and there was a problem I didn't want to risk it. Sex was also painful for me the first several times but it started getting better around 6 months with both kids.

    me too - but i did wait 5 weeks 6 days befofe we got it on - i almost made it to 6 weeks.

    I bled for a good 6 weeks with both of them.  I had a c-section.  I know I was still spotting at my 6 week PP check with the 2nd.  I also started spotting/bleeding again at 8 weeks PP with my first.  I honestly don't remember, but think we had sex at 6-7 weeks PP with #1 and probably more like 7-8 with #2.  It was still VERY painful with #1 and moderately painful after having #2.
