How often should you feel kicks at 23 weeks?

For the entire day I might have felt 1 or 2 kicks... it kind of has me worried because I am used to him kicking me all day. I don't even know if they were kicks because I'm kind of gassy today (sorry tmi) and my stomach has been gurgling. Should I call the doctor or is this normal?

    normal.  most OB's tell you not to start counting kicks until 27-28 weeks.....

    If you are worried at all then call the doctor.  Everyone is different.

    There have been a lot of posts like this in the last week or so and the general consensus seems to be that it's totally normal to not feel consistent movement until 28 weeks.  That being said, if it'll make you feel better to hear it from your Dr. or the nurse, go ahead and call because that's what they're there for.

    Do you have an anterior placenta? If not, I still don't think it's something you need to be totally worried about. I don't think you have to start counting kicks until 28ish weeks.

    The baby probably just switched positions...I wouldn't worry.

    I can feel a whole bunch one day and then like 2 the next. I figure shes being lazy some days and more active others. I just went to the doctor today and everything is fine so I wouldn't worry. You can always call the doctor if you are worried.

    I felt mine a lot yesterday and only a few times today.  From what I've heard it's totally normal.
