wool CDers- lanolin question

So, I feel like an idiot asking this... oh well.  To prep some wool covers my mom made, could I use the lanolin cream I used for my nipples?  I have a ton of this stuff left over and I wasn't sure if there was another kind of lanolin or if this is it?

Re: wool CDers- lanolin question

  • you can, if you already have it in the house. it's sorta different from the woolie lanolin, but only because it has to be pure and "clean" for you to put it on your nipples.

so basically, the lansinoh brand is more expensive than the woolie lanolin, but just because it's more pure. it still works the same way! HTH!

  • You definitely can -- you'll just want to squirt some in a little bowl with some water and zap it in the microwave for a few seconds to make it easier to work with.  Admittedly I've not done it but people do it all the time.  Good luck! :)

  • I've never used wool, but there's a really good instructional on how to lanolize (and I think she's using nipple lanolin) here:
