Baby Girl Names

We think we have a boy name picked out but are really struggling with the girl name!  I thought a girl name would be easier but apparently not.  Where do you turn to for name inspiration?

    I looked online and in baby name books...and I have always had a running list in my head of names that I have heard that I liked.

    DD1 was named for our two mothers, so we didn't really need inspiration!  For DD2, I'm naming her after one of my favorite Jane Austen heroines, although it also happens to be very similar to my sister's name and FIL's middle name (which is a family name).  I use books and real life as my inspirations, although we looked at a bunch of websites as well because we were torn about DD2's name since it's really popular right now!  We didn't find another name we agree with, so we're sticking with it despite it's popularity!

    ITs kinda wierd. DD name came when we stopped 'looking' for it. DH and I were watching star wars ( yes we are geeks) He turned to me and said "leah" and it just kinda stuck.

    Maybe you guys will have a moment like that too! You have lots of time to decide!

    I am inspired by television and movies ...and my family.

    My name is Lyla Faye.  I heard the name Lyla on Dexter in Season 3 and Faye is my grandmother's middle name.

    We had the hardest time with coming up with a girl name too! We were both convinced that it would be a boy and we quickly came up with a name that we both liked.  Needless to say it is a GIRL and we were so happy, but needed a name.  I looked in every baby name book you could find and on the internet.  Finally I came across the name Addison and liked it but wanted to spell it differently...and luckily my DH liked it too.  I'm sure you will have one of these moments.  Don't stress out about it too much, but I know what it's like to want a name for your baby right away.

    If mine is a girl she will be Sophie Grace. I got Sophie from the movie The Holiday. I never knew it was getting popular.

    DD will be named after family members, but I've also looked online at baby name websites, and I read a lot so I've gotten ideas for names from books I've read.

    This is not necessarily related to your post...but I just wanted to tell you - every time I see your SN, it makes me smile. My name is Amy Michelle LastName.

     As for inspiration...I have been looking at credits on TV and movies, when I am reading magazines, all of the staff. It's random - but i just look for ideas anywhere. That being said...I still don't have names picked out ; )
