I am 17 weeks. I just recently started really thinking about a dr for the baby. We live in Tomball, but most of our dr's are in the woodland area. Any recommendations? How many did you interview, did you interview? When should I start looking?
I looked at rec's here and found a place that was closest to my house - then called (around 35 weeks). I have an appt. set up with the doc just to talk with her (I will be 37 weeks by then). I think it's better if you want to see several people, to start near 30-35 weeks b/c the doctors might not have time to sit down with you for a few weeks. This gives you time to set up all of your appointments w/o fear of going into labor (hopefully!).
I think we will prob. just go with this doc b/c of the good recs I have recevied, so I haven't looked for anyone else. She also has privilages at my hospital, so that is another plus for me.

care, are you going to see Dr. Gray? tell her Missy said hi!
We never interviewed peds. We picked the same one that SIL/BIL use since he was on our insurance and close to the house. We didn't even meet him until our first appt when DS was 2 wks old.

Yep! I was going to put you down as the recommendation on the Pedi form, but I didn't know your last name and didn't want to be stalkerish. ;-)

Re: When to look for a ped
I just responded to AggieKristin's post...it might be helpful!
We waited WAY too late to start interviewing pediatricians...37 weeks or so. I would say between 25-35 weeks would be good.
