I'm so tired of DD pulling my hair. Honestly, I could probably deal with her pulling it every now and then. But I can not deal with her pulling it out. She's pulls it so hard. Ouch! And since I gave up cursing for Lent, it looks like I will have to get my hair cut this weekend. ![]()
So who else has cut their hair short to prevent their little one from pulling their hair?
TIA.
Re: Poll: Who has broken down and cut their hair short since having a LO?
I need to cut mine just so it's easier to do in the mornings and so it holds less spit-up.
But, I won't cut it too short because DD plays with it and rubs it on her face while she is falling asleep. I know... I have the cutest sweetest baby ever.
I want to get a pixie/really short bob but I can't afford a haircut so its really long.
The bitches on 3rd tri were making fun of my septum piercing and said that my DS will yank it out, so I am stupid for having it. He pulls my hair all the time, but only touches my septum ring, just to feel it and I'm not about to shave my head.
Ditto?
I didn't cut mine because DD was pulling it... but because I grew it out really long and then felt disgusting after giving birth since I was still holding on to 30lbs of baby weight and cutting my hair was the quickest "feel good" change I could make.
I cut it really short and hated it. I am in the process of growing it back out. It's down a little past my shoulders now... but I'm not done yet! I have lost almost all of the baby weight now so I want my long, pretty hair back!
Just be sure you don't cut it so short you can't put it in a ponytail!!!!
DITTO! That's why I'm not sure if I like it... it's curly and I feel like I am wearing a hair helmet!
If you have at least 10'' of hair you want to cut off, you might be able to find someone who will cut it for free if you donate to Locks of Love.
I cut off a lot of hair (it was down past my butt and now shoulder length). I like it a lot more and want to go get it trimmed again to keep it short. It is just long enough for a ponytail (that was my one stipulation to the hairdresser). I love it a lot more than I thought I would. And it felt good to donate it. (lol, and be an AW and have everyone gush over how pretty my hair was. The hairdresser said they would be able to make 2 wigs with it because there was so much.)
Me, I did. I felt I needed a "change" after the baby. I have very wavy hair and now I have really big, short hair. I'm trying to grow it out but am too cheap to get it shaped. I totally regret doing it and miss having a ponytail. This is way more work than my previous long here and very grabbable for DD. If I don't get laid off in the next month, I may treat myself and get it shaped so it doesn't look so crappy.
I cut mine short while I was pregnant and I hated it. Like pp's said, it was too short to pull back (which was really fun during labor, btw), and it's taking forever to grow out. I'm now growing it really long so that I can just pull it back into a ponytail.
FWIW, my DH has short hair and DS still manages to pull it pretty hard. I don't think length has much to do with it.
Me! I just got it cut yesterday, but not so much to prevent hair-pulling... Just because I wanted a change.
Google Kellie Pickler and that's what I got. It's the asymmetrical bob.
I love it!
