Specter of fetal demise, be gone!!!

So far this week alone, I have heard about one from this board (heart goes to to goingtothechapel), one from a CW whose niece, after a stillbirth, had a son who lived 11 days (so really baby death), one from a TV show last night that I got sucked into and another stillbirth from my local board.  This better not be a sign to prepare me for something.  I think I need an exorcism or something so this stops haunting me.  Pass the puppies and rainbows please.

    I feel like I have been hearign a lot about these as well. I work L&D and we were just talking about how there seems to be increased numbers, we were wonderign if its stress related to the economy or something. Thank God we have an unwritten rule that PG nurses do not have to take these pts its not something I could mentally handle right now. Please know its not you, its not a sign....

    You're not the only one - I've been having a lot of anxiety lately. It's so devastating and one of my biggest fears. I thought I'd feel better after first tri but seeing all these late losses scares me so much. My heart aches for those women.

    seriously, it scares the shiit out of me, i dont want to be paranoid, but all these women are losing their babies so late, and its so sad.

    Ugh!  I completely missed xgoingtothechapelx's post this morning.  I looked it up after I read your post.  I'm so heartbroken.

    I don't know if it's because I'm running the check-ins but I feel like every loss hits me harder this time than it did when I was pg with DS.

    I need puppies and rainbows...

    Thanks.  That really helps hearing it from a L&D perspective.  Interesting that you all have noted an uptick as well.  And glad you don't have to deal with them.   The drs and nurses were crying over the one last night on TV and say every loss is hard.

    I told mine he could have a shiny new bicycle (hell, he can have one for every age bracket) if he would just keep kicking the crap out of me for the next four months. I hate when I don't feel him for a day or two, even though I know it's still too early for me to worry about that.?
