City moms: recommend your stroller

I just CANNOT decide on a stroller!  Part of me wants an all-terrain stroller to deal with the crappy city sidewalks, but part of me needs a light stroller (I have a bad back) that folds up relatively small (I have a smaller trunk).

I'm not going to say money is no object, but I'm willing to spend some cash because I know you pay for what you get and this is something I will use for years.  However, a Bugaboo is too expensive, so don't recommend that.

So, all that being said, I would appreciate you sharing what you recommend (and why).

TIA.

  • I really like our Quinny Buzz. It's not lightweight but it opens and folds with one touch. It also a really comfy smooth ride for DD. It goes over sand, snow and bumpy sidewalks with ease.?

  • The Quinny Zapp is lightweight and folds up really really tiny. ?Downside is that it doesn't recline at all. ?We've only used it on sidewalks.
  • We have the Baby Jogger City Mini Single Stroller. We bought it for around $230. It is amazing! It's not the cheapest, but I believe it is one of the best values for the money for something that's travel friendly and great for every day.

It is sturdy, light and easy fold with one hand. You just pull the handle and it shuts down. It's so easy, I can close it while holding my very heavy DD in my other arm.

It has a really big canopy and steers very well on city streets. DH took it jogging on paved roads and had little problem. We have a Prius with a small car trunk and it fits perfectly.

  • Ingelesina Zippy. ?Lightweight, full recline, one hand fold.

  • the BOB...we just used it tonight on our icey/slushy sidewalks and it easily maneuvered up and over snowbanks and through all the goo.  I LOVE this stroller.  Honestly, I do not have enough good things to say about it.  We have also used it on unpaved roads/trails.  However, it's not terribly light and it doesn't fold up extremely small--but we do get it in the back of DH's honda accord.
