  We took the hypnobirthing classes, did all the practice exercises and relaxation techniques, etc. And then I had to be induced because my water broke and contractions never came 24 hours afterwards... There went our birth plan

  I have to say that the techniques that I learned in class were very helpful when it came to being relaxed, controlling my breathing and following my body. So, the short story is that I didn't get to have the kind of birthing experience that I planned and hoped for with Hypnobirthing, but I still feel that the class (and the book!) was very much worth the time and effort.

  If you google Hypnobabies you can read lots of birth stories on their website.  I plan to do their home study program.
