what is you little one's heart rate?? DH REALLY wants to wait until he/she is born to find out. I'm on the fence, so I keep guessing. I've heard that if it's a girl the heart rate is faster. Just wondering if this is true, and what is considered fast or slow??

Usually around 154 or so this time around (boy). But DD's was 158 (girl), so pretty close. OWT doesn't really hold true.

At my big u/s last week her HB was 143, so I believe the OWT was false for me also.

We're having a boy, and his heart rate is always about 155 and has never been below 150.

ETA: My DD's was always around 160, so it was pretty much the same as her brother's

Well I'm having one of each and their hear rates were about the same all up until about 19 weeks. Then the boys was like 10 less than hers so I don't know if that helps or not. However, my doctor did say she can usually guess by the heart rate, and she didn't because they were both high like a girl. At this time we knew one was a boy because she didn't want to show.

our boys heart rate is always between 140-150 (most of the time about 150)

my boy has been from 166 at 8 weeks to 145 at 17 weeks...so who knows.

Our boy's heart rate is usually in the 150s. The only time it is ever lower is when he is sleeping.

HR in 150-173 ranges every time, and it's definitely a BOY (against the OWT).

We had heart rates all over the place- from 160s, to 150 then on the day of 138... and she's a girl!

I know some people (including my grandmother) swear by the OWT, but I wouldn't put much stock in it.

I'm having a girl - her heart beat has always been around 145bpm. My son's was 160bpm. It's an old wives' tale, sorry. Don't drive yourself crazy with all these...you clearly want to know so maybe talk to your husband about it and see if he is flexible...? Good luck!
