3rd Trimester

How long do you wait at the doc's office?

And how to wait less?

Sometimes I have to wait an hour and a half for the "regular" doc. For the OB, just a half hour or so, but that's because I make appts first thing in the morning.

  • The longest I've waited has been about 10 minutes. They are really good about getting everyone in and out quickly!

Same. Obviously there have been times where they have gotten backed up, but my office is usually really god with getting people in on time

  • Are you on Medi-Cal? I am on Medi-Cal and the OB that I see only comes to the office 2 times a month... so they cram in all of the pregnant ladies in on the same day. I have had to wait just as long.

I just switched to a regular doctor because my appointments were taking so long. Would you be willing to do that??

  • 5 minutes tops.  I LOVE my midwives!!!!

That's insane! Are you going to a free clinic or something? I was just complaining on another post about the wait, but the longest I've waited is like 20 min! what's up with that office?!

  • Omg! I usually end up waiting a freaking hour and then the appt. is 3 minutes long. Grr.
  • It has been outrageous like 2 hours but last time it was like 20 minutes!
  • I wait usually 20-30 minutes then another 10-15 minutes in the actual patient room. It usually feels like forever though.
  • I wait about 10-15 minutes and i usually make the latest appointment available because of work.

  • Maybe like 5-10 in the waiting room, and another 10ish in the patient room. Sometimes they do get really backed up though (even though I always have early morning appts) and I've had to wait 45-60 min.

  • Wow, so my docs kinda suck!

I'm on Healthnet, Cal Choice. I can understand when my OB has to go catch a baby down the hall, but the few times I go to my reg. doc, I've been thinking of making a "are you REALLY ready for me at this time" type call.

This is also my usual wait. Last time I waited in the patient room for 45 minutes though. I am hoping it was because something imporant like a labor was keeping her away. I didn't ask though.
