Preschool update

It. Was. Awesome.

Seriously, Meredith LOVED it. It reminded me so much of my mom's preschool. Meredith was incredibly well-behaved, and she jumped right in with the other kids and started playing without any hesitation at all. I was so impressed with the program and the teachers. I loved the director right away. The only time Meredith cried was when we left. After I got her strapped into her carseat, the first thing she said to me was, "I miss preschool."

I filled out the forms while we were there and paid her registration fee, so she is all signed up for the fall! YAY!

    I am so glad she liked school. My dd#1 always just runs right in her classroom and says "bye mom" and has even kicked me out of her room if I am chatting w/ the teacher (whom I knew before she was dd#1 teacher). It hurts some days but she always has a huge smile on her face and runs to me when I pick her up.

    Her new thing is to take me through and show me each thing they did that day and today she "read" the book to me that they had. As for all the socialization and learning --it is insane. She uses all these different signs with us and busts out in spanish ----it is just amazing how fast their little brains soak in all this material. She has been going to her school since she was 18 months.

    Also enjoy the new found you time---it is so, so wonderful. I never realized how much I needed it until she went to school. Of course now I have #2 but she goes away one day a week for a baby sitting swap so that works out.
