Charting/Temp Question

Hi! Im trying to get in the routine of taking my temp every morning. The first day was 97.2, but the last 3 days have been 96.2-96.5. In TCOYF, the charts dont even have a place for anything in the 96's.?

Im taking at 7am every morning, but the low temps seem strange to me for 3 days. Im using a standard digital thermometer from Osco...is this normal to have these low temps?

I hope I dont sound like an idiot, Im just new at this :)?

    My temps before O are always in the 96's. I've wondered if this is normal...but I assume it's ok.

    1. low temps are totally normal pre-O

    2. try using a basal therm, they're more accurate

    Are you using a paper chart?  I would suggest you sign up on https://www.fertilityfriend.com and use online charting.  It's easier, and there are no limits as to your low/high temp.  I am usually in the 96's pre-O, so it seems totally normal to me.

    I would also suggest you get a basal thermometer.  I have the one from CVS and really like it.  Target also has one, too.

    Thank you for the responses! (i was thinking...am I dead? LOL) Now I dont feel like a freak.

    I am using a paper chart....I copied a page out of the book. I will definately check out the website! ?

    Definitely check out FF.  Most of the people here that chart use FF, too.  They have a free service, and also a paid VIP membership, too.  I use the free one (you get what you need from the free one), but a lot of people like the VIP one because you get some extra features.

    My pre-o temps are often in the 96 range.  Don't worry.

    I too have wondered the same thing.  my pre-O temps are in the 96's and post-O are in the 97's.  We can't even really use the chart in the book TCOYF because they only have 97's and 98's on those charts which is what made me wonder.
