So... fever for six days. Tell me... has anyone else had this?

I have a call into the doctor AGAIN... but we are working on six days of one hundred and two degree fever...  it breaks and then comes back... and sometimes doesn't even break.  In fact... has only really broken twice.

He acts fine when the fever comes down...  playing and such.  He's not eating much though and I am sure has lost some weight.  Has continued to drink...  ugh

has anyone else had a fever for a week?

  • I don't know what to say about the fever. =(  Poor Joey. Maybe try a nutrition drink to help him get more calories?

  • Sorry, no experience. ?Poor Joey. ?I hope he's feeling better soon.
  • instead of just calling the Pedi, can they give you an appointment?  call and LIE, tell them he's acting lethargic, you're worried about dehydration and loss of weight.

see if they'll take you today and don't leave without an answer. ask for a blood draw, as fun as that is, to rule out anything strange.

5 days is a terribly long time. 3 days was bad, I can't imagine 5.

    stay strong momma.

  • Mia once had  a fever for 5 days and it was a virus.  I agree, if you are worried, call them and get an appointment.  At our pedi, we can say "mother's intuition" as a symptom.  ;)

Hang in there. And I hope Joey feels better soon.

  • Landon has had that for the past week !!!! It is crazy ! He just developed a cough and runny nose. So since there is no ear infection, no flu, no pneumonia they said it is just a bad cold.

Hope he feels better soon !!
