2nd Trimester

Ugh 2 tri isn't better yet :(

So, how long did it take everybody to start feeling better? Right now I am getting over an allergic reaction to some Codeine the doctor gave me so I'm feeling very bad. When did the extreme exhaustion go away? When did you stop feeling so sick?

I need encouragement!!!!

  • you'll probably feel better by 16w or 17w. last week was light years better than the previous 10 weeks... (the first 6 weeks we didn't know we were pg and I had very few symptoms).

  • I still get sick from time to time but the worst of it seemed to pass about a week ago. The exhaustion passed about then too.

  • This has been my first week that I haven't taken a nap (or two) during the day!
  • I know this may sound stupid but everybody made it seem like the second I hit 2 tri I would start feeling a million times better. Thank you guys for letting me know when you started feeling better.

  • I started feeling better around 16 weeks.  I started cleaning my house and cooking dinner again and stopped needing naps all day, every day!
  • Exhaustion-wise... I have been doing much better.  It's a gradual process but I can tell it's getting better.  For some reason though... my bloat has been back for the past three days, wtf!?  It's so icky feeling.

  • I'm still somewhat tired but at 19 weeks I do feel way better than before.

  • I hear your frustration - I thought someone would wave a magic wand when I hit 12 weeks. The nausea and exhaustion subsided when I was about where you are. The exhaustion still comes back from time to time and in general I am still more tired than usual, but thankfully no more nausea.

  • I was starting to get better by week 14, by 16 I was a new person...last few days I feel great!  It will come, I promise!

Agreed.  I'm tired of hearing this.  I have actually been nothing but worse since Week 11 and now I go see a neurologist for something else I've been going through.  My doc finally told me yesterday that 20-24 weeks will be my turning point most likely and to hang tight til then...that is so long from now! :( I hope it comes sooner.
