I don't really see DH with hurt feelings often

Today is his bday and he came home from work feeling a little slighted because he didn't get a bday card from his coworkers. Generally, he doesn't care about cards at all (I didn't even get him one) but it's a common thing at his office so he just expected it. He signs them all the time for other people so he expected to get one, too. Then, at the end of the day someone he works closely with said to him. "Did you get a card today?" DH said, "No, did you sign one?" The guy said no. Nice.

Then he also expected SD to call and wish him a happy bday and she didn't. I explained that she's only 9 and she shouldn't be held accountable if she forgot. It will be different when she's older. I think he understands but I know he wanted to talk to her.

I feel bad for him! We had a wonderful dinner out with DS and yummy cake when we got home. So the night turned around. But poor DH!
