I'm having major issues deciding on my fav. choice. When you named your baby, did it click right away ...like "this is it!!!!!" or was it just months of pondering and then simply chosing and just being ok.
I knew right away it was the name for her...kinda like when you find "the dress" for your wedding. It helped that DH picked it out so it "clicked" for both of us.
I didnt know until literally 30 minutes before i left the hospital...I just sat there with hr and my fiance and we said the two names over and over again...Adriana Monroe and Ava Monroe...Then she smiled when we said Ava...and we just KNEW! I seriously never thought i would figure it out!!!

Nope, it never really clicked - it took a while to warm up to. I wanted the name Claire or Audrey, DH didn't like either. He liked Lauren and Julie - I like both names but wasn't 100% sold. He threw the name Anna out there, and it was one that took me a while to really feel 100% about. I loved the name but didn't really know if she seemed like an Anna. Not sure if that makese sense or not. The middle name, Kate, was one I was still unsure about until we applied for her birth certificate. There are still some days when I wonder if we chose the right name, but it seems to fit, and I am happy with our decision.
It didn't really click. We had two names we were deciding between (actually 2 name sets because the middle names were different too). In the end, one name just seemed like the better choice. But I really loved our other name and I hope I get to use it for another child.
Big sister {September 2008} Sweet boy {April 2011} Fuzzy Bundle {ETA July 2014}
Months of pondering and then one day it just fit. We had a list of 3-4 names. For the longest time Olivia was a front runner for DD's name. One day I just knew that she was an Emilia and that's what we ended up going with. We don't regret her name at all. It totally fits her.
We fell in love with the name Kelsey when I was about 5 months pregnant. Luckily it fit her! With Teagan we had about 8 names on a list and we picked it after she was born because we loved it and it fit her well. I have never regretted either of their names.
It totally clicked... DD is Alleena ("A- Lean- a") Kiely, and we call her Allie for short. It fits her perfectly, and it is the only name DH liked. no regrets
It was the only name we could agree on but we still like different nicknames. I agreed to my husbands choice because it got him off of the Jr. kick, and I didn't want a Jr.
It think DD is still growing into her name. I do not regret it at all, and I was the one who suggested it when I was maybe 4mos pregnant... DH immediately seized onto the name, and never even entertained an alternative.
I just think it takes (at least, for me it takes) a while for the name to "fit". It's a huge decision! GL...
We didn't know what we were having either time. We had it narrowed down to 3 names for each sex. I have to see the baby first to see what name fits them. We used our girl names from DS on DD.
Oh, and btw, I am admittedly indecisive. I was given free rein to choose the middle name, which I thought I'd settled on in my 3rd tri... At the hospital I changed my mind, and it took until two days after d/c for me to go back to my original choice and commit to the birth certificate paperwork...
No regrets! We had two names picked out and I think we had decided on Katelynn when we were in the hospital and they were prepping me for my c/s. But when we saw her, we both knew that we had picked the right name. (It was between Katelynn and Kendall). Katelynn also has family names in it. She is definitely my Katie-bug Ladybug!! I really clicked when we saw her. And having everyone say her name over and over again, I just loved the sound and I knew we might the right choice.
we loved the name before I got pg, but we wanted to wait to see him and have two names to chose from, which for a girl we did. then at 20 wks I found out it was a boy and Finn stuck out over the other choice. We kept it to ourselves bc we didnt want to hear peoples opinions, but also to see if we liked it and give us a chance to change our minds. So at about 30 wks we decided it was the name with m name and all. It fits him and we love it.

The first 2 it clicked right away, once the name was said out loud we both knew they were right. #3 I had narrowed down to 2 names and my husband said he liked one, so I told my sister the name if it was a girl would be Alexa, he corrected me and said no, the other one wich was Scarlett. Even though I picked it it still wasn't sitting right until she was born. Then I looked at her and she had red hair (my other 2's hair is no where near red) and I knew she was a Scarlett.
We were undecided until he was born. Colin wasn't even on our list until very last minute....And I took one look at him and it felt right:) But up until his birth I thought we were going to name him Baby Boy!
We were the same way with our first too..... Nathan was on the list though. we just couldn't commit until we saw him!

We did not have a name until 2 weeks before DD arrived, then we heard Delaney on the radio and DH and i both fell in love with it, and it so fits her!

This. No regrets. I've only heard of one family changing the name of their infant son.
