mylicon and gripe water

Do you use both of these at the same time and how often?  My DS has extreme gas and is so fussy at his feedings, so I have been giving both at each feeding, but I am not sure if it is even helping?

    I don't know anything about gripe water but we give DD mylicon after her bottles during the day

    mylicon never worked for us and never tired gripe water...
    Have you tried swaddling him tight around his stomach. Pressure on the tummy sometimes helps... The only thing that has really helped is switching DS formula...

    I should have also said that we had the same problem with DD...she was very gassy and unhappy so we started the mylicon and changed her formula to similac sensitive. They both seemed to have helped her

    we switched to similac sensitive too! ALOT less gas! And OMG can I tell you DS you to burp like a beast... lol but now he doesn't even burp so loud

    We always added a few drops of mylicon to our DS's bottle when we made the formula.  It cut down on the gas/foaming/bubbles and prevented a lot of the tummy troubles.  It made a huge difference!

    My pedi told us to only stick to one of these, don't use both.  We use the gripe water and love it.  We even add a few drops to his evening bottle just to make sure he has no gas pains going to bed.  We tried mylicon and it didn't seem to work as well.
