IUI #1 was a bust

AF showed last night and I was so sad. My DH tried so hard to be supportive but he really can't handle it when I cry. Oh well on to IUI #2. I wish my doctor would give me injectables to give me a better chance but he won't. I think that we will try one more with this clinic and then will switch to a different clinic.
TTC#1 since 7/07 with MFI and Endo/PCOS IUI #1 and #2 with 50mg of clomid= BFN IUI#3 with 100mg of clomid and Bravelle= BFN Lap surgery 11-18-09= found Stage IV Endo :( Three months of Depot Lupron Shots and adding 2000mg Metformin IVF w/ ICSI May 2010 = BFP, M/C at 6 weeks Break to lose weight, down 60 pounds and gearing up for IVF #2 in August 2011

    I'm sorry this cycle didn't work. GL on IUI#2!!!

    I'm so, so sorry! Why won't he give you injectables to increase your chances? I'd definitely get a second opinion. ((HUGS))

    ETA: I just saw you sent me a PM 11 days ago...eeek! I replied. I'm so sorry! I wish they let you know when someone sent you a message. I never remember to check.

    oh! I meant to add to keep your chin up. My bf did only timed IUI with her hubby's super low count and she got pregnant on her second.

    It only takes one swimmer and one egg!?

    I'm sorry it didn't work and that your clinic won't do injectables for you. Good luck with #2!

    Thanks Ladies! I am going to try to be positive. I think that my doctor doesn't want to give me injectables b/c it is my husband's issue. I had 4 eggs with only 50 mg of clomid, so I think that he believes I would be over stimulated with injectables. After this cycle I am going to move to Shady Grove, they have higher success rates.

    I guess I really thought this would work b/c my DH sperm count was ALOT better this time. Maybe next time will work.

    i'm so sorry.  i know you're always so hopeful w/the first one.  don't be discouraged..... i think 4 follies is a great response - i only get one.  they won't add injectibles b/c if they do, you have a greater risk of HOM.  i guess if you are ok w/selective reduction, you can push them to do the injectibles but with the response you got, i don't see why you would want to put yourself through that. i know you want to have a baby badly but i would just give it time. remember that IUIs do not have as high of a success rate as IVF does so it will probably take a few tries. i would give it 3 tries before moving on to another protocol or doctor - remember that each IUI cycle only has about a 25% chance of success.  i hope IUI#2 is it for you!
