I know this may be a silly question - but do you have to clean an infants ears? If so, how - with a q-tip? I've took a little peak inside her ears today and didn't see anything.
Someone gave us baby q-tips as a shower present and they are designed so you can't get them into the babies ear very far. We use those when there is a lot of build up, otherwise we just leave it.
Re: Cleaning baby's ears?
I use a washcloth and the tip of my finger nail. I don't go diggn' around...just a little sweep inside.
I asked the nurse at the hospital about this, b/c my brother and I have a history of so many ear infections.
You're just supposed to clean the pinnea (the outer ear). They suggest using a damp washcloth, and make sure no droplets of water get in the ear.
