So we have the following list narrowed down (finally). Please note that we are hispanic, but want a name that will be the same in either English or Spanish--which narrows it down just a bit. For example, Angela is the same in either language, etc. Please let us know what you think! TIA
Grace
Beatrice (spelled Beatriz--)
Patricia
Laura (or Lauren)
Lucia
Also, I'll take other options too!
Re: Three weeks to go...and this kid has no name :-(
Of those, Grace is my fave.
I like all of them except Lucia. I love Luciana though...

Maya?
I like Beatriz very much !
Maria
Milena
I love Grace, Laura, and Lucia.
What about Clara, Ana, Julia?
Like Grace, but it's so popular.
Love Laura. Love Lucia.
The other two are OK.?
just go in there with all of the names and decide when she comes out. ?they don't ask you for the name until after you deliver. ?you have time!
lucas wasn't named until he was 2 hours old.?
Grace -love it
Beatrice (spelled Beatriz--) - adorable
Patricia -nms
Laura (or Lauren) -nms
Lucia -love it
Grace - overused
Beatrice (spelled Beatriz--) - hate the spelling and it'll signify "hispanic" on job applications, so keep that in mind if you think it matters - I'm not saying it does so don't flame me - I'm just sayin'
Patricia - fine but old fashioned and reminds me of Nixon
Laura (or Lauren) - I like both a lot - Lauren is more current
Lucia - ick
My BFF just had this dilemma last year. Her DH is from Argentina, so they wanted a name that would work in both languages. They settled on Anna.
I like them all except for Patricia. I'm particularly fond of Laura...that's my name!
Please name her Lucia! Its so pretty, sounds great in both English and Spanish and has cute NN like Lucy or Lulu. Don't listen to what anyone else says about Lucia. Its a fantastic name and you probably won't have to worry about other kids in her class having the same name. Honestly, its not that I dont like the other names but Lucia is a little more unique. Hope that helps!
?
p.s. I'm hispanic too so I understand the need for names to sound nice in both English and Spanish :-)?

I like Grace and Lucia but whoever mentioned Luciana that is very pretty too. I knew a little girl named Graciella growing up. I thought her name was very pretty. Maybe that's horrible, but it's a variation of Grace and Latino.?
