Disgusting. Now that that crazy family had the 18th baby, they changed the name of the show. At what point can DFS step in? Maybe by #20???

They are actually doing pretty well for themselves... and the kids always seem to be pretty happy and raised very well.

The women who have ten kids and are on welfare are the ones that need to be stopped.

There is something wrong with that family. ?There may not be "abuse" or "neglect" and they may be financially stable, but all ya gotta do is watch one episode to know that she and her husband are not right. She is a huge whack job and the baby making needs to STOP! ?yuck. I hate even thinking about how backwards they are. ?

I don't agree with anna duggar on many things but she seems like a very nice lady and I don't think her children are in anyway abused (although the blanket training REALLY bothers me). I think she should close her legs though. Hopefully she will hit menopause soon.

I am not going to make any personal judgment on them--to each its own--I will say that with all the kids they have DH must be satisfied--who knows she might be able to teach us a thing or two about Kegels. LOL!

I bet that woman has a serious stash of those little steel balls--don't get tricked by the modest appearance.

Yeah, I guess my definition of crazy is somewhat different. You know like people having children and they don't even have a job, THAT is crazy and I see it all day everyday. Oh yeah and I see at the end of every week on my paycheck.

Though I find it entirely unnecessary to have that many children, the Duggars do very well for themselves and all of their children. These kids are well-fed, loved, and very well taken care-of. I see no need for DFS to step in any time soon. If at any point in time there became a problem of abuse or neglect then obviously that would be necessary. But as-of right now, that family is doing just fine on their own.

Octo-mom on the other hand...she's one to point fingers at.

Blair beat me to my one and only issue with the parents. There is no possible way she has near enough time to give to ALL of her kids. She depends on the older kids to essentially 'raise' the new ones. It's sad that a child in their own right has to take his/her teen years raising their siblings. I remember reading somewhere that each kid is given a specific amount of one on one time with mommy every day. IMO, that's just wrong.

I have a huge problem with the older children taking care of the younger ones too. WHen it gets to the point that you can't give all the children a little piece of attention then it is time to stop reproducing. I also hate blanket training and the fact that they don't believe in dinosaurs. I think that those children will grow up to be very ignorant.

I don't really see the older kids helping with the younger kids any worse than people who let their kids watch tv and play video games 24/7. They are learning many useful life skills. Granted, this is probably an extreme and they could use some time off but I like the Duggars and don't have a huge problem with it.

FWIW, my SIL is married to the oldest of 11 children, and we are close to the family as well. All of the children are well behaved, well adjusted, well loved, and all around good kids. It works for them, and none of them would change it for a second.

I heard that each of the kids have to schedule a time to spend with each of the parents. They dont have enough time to play or see every kid during the day. And there is no way that she can home school that many kids at the same time.

Meh - I like the Duggar's. They intrigue me. They are a good wholesome family and they all seem happy and loving. oh - Anna is the one who is married to the eldest son Josh. The mothers name is Michelle. Someone got it wrong up above.
