Are you kidding me? Alimentum question

So after weeks of mucousy diarrhea and painful gas on Alimentum with oatmeal cereal added we eliminated the oatmeal from the equation. I really am now thinking that the problem this whole time was with the oatmeal and maybe NOT a MSPI. DS is now constipated, he has little pebbles. Is anyones LO constipated on Alimentum? I could scream.

    DD has only been on Alimentum for 3 days now, but it has been very very runny.. I can only tell ya I understand the frustration and feel your pain.. Hope it gets better for ya

    Sorry, my LO was constipated on every other formula besides Alimentum, it has been his saving grace.

    Sometimes when you take things out of the equation, it affects the poop.

    If you are worried about issues with GI and allergies, I would stop feeding food. Those are my 2 cents...but I don't know your baby of course, just the things you have said on here :(.

    we are taking DD to an allergist on Thurs. to see if there are any allergies before we start feeding her. I am hoping they may find intolerances, but that does not sound like a possibility, seeing as they are allergists and not GIs. :)

    We called on Friday about the gas issue and that is when she said to stop the oatmeal. I just called again. I feel like such a pain to keep calling.

    Kim - I know I shouldn't feel that way but they know DS by name there. LOL.

    They called back and said to try 1 oz of Pedialyte to 1 oz of prune juice. DH is going to pick up some prune juice on his way home later.
