How are you handling daylight savings time change? — The Bump
D.C. Area Babies

How are you handling daylight savings time change?

Will you shift bedtimes gradually or abruptly?  Get the baby up at the "new" time the first day and hope her schedule shifts accordingly?

Re: How are you handling daylight savings time change?

  • I'll let him adjust slowly.

  • is it this weekend? I have no idea how we'll adjust, I still have to get up and go to work at usual time
  • We changed his schedule over two days during the fall time change.  I'm not sure how we'll handle this one though, since his bedtime will be earlier rather than later.

No, the time change isn't until March 8.

  • I'm not sure, but I know that I don't want to put him to bed at 4:30 (he is normally down at 5:30) and get up at 5 something (when he normally gets up at 6 something).  I'll have to figure out how to shift him.
