Anyone that has miscarried....please help

My DH just called and said that one of his employee's wife had a miscarriage. He would like to send flowers, but doesn't know what to write on the card. I'm a little nervous about him sending flowers, I don't know if that would just make her feel worse since his boss would know? WDYT?

When I miscarried I didn't want to talk to anybody about it or have it announced to the world. But that's just me, I'm a private person in that sense. So I personally would not have wanted to receive flowers.

I know I'm not techincally suppose to post over here but I've had a m/c. Dh's bosses set us a gift basket with chocolates, coffees, teas, etc. The card just said "thinking about yall" It was so nice to get and so thoughtful of them to think of us during what was a very hard time. I think I ate all the chocolate in like a day. It's really great of your dh to think of his employee and wife right now. I also got flowers from friends and family and all of it was so nice and comforting to know that people were thinking of us.

I miscarried twins 2 years ago. I received a few cards that simply stated "We're sorry for your loss. Please let us know if you need anything." I think this is the best option. I don't think that I wouldv'e liked flowers. If you really want to give something, maybe a $25 restaurant gift card along with their takeout menu. I know for the week surrounding when I found out and had to have my D&C, I wasn't in the mood to cook.

I would've loved flowers. ?I wanted people to know, I just didn't want to tell them and I didn't want to be there when DH told them. ?It did feel good to have support though. ?I think flowers and a card like the above posters said would be?thoughtful.

Dh's boss sent us a ncie basket from wolfermans. ?I would have liked food, so I didn't have to cook. Maybe make a meal and leave it on the doorstep? Or a card.

I had 2 miscarriages last year. Like one poster said, I didn't want to talk about it or be around anyone, but I have to agree with the others who say it's nice to have the support. You can make her feel supported without her having to talk to you, and flowers with a card is sufficient. We got a couple cards and it was nice just to know that someone was thinking of us. Meals are a great idea too. We didn't cook much for a week or so after either m/c. My bosses gave me a week off with pay after my 2nd miscarriage and didn't count it against my paid time off. It was such a relief to be able to stay home as a family and deal with what was going on and not worry about burning valuable days off or not getting paid.
