Maxim?

For a boy of course :)  What do you think?

 

 

 

 

For the record, it's a family name and it's a very traditional French name (Maxime). But, we do live in the US.. so I'm asking for opinions ;) Thx!

CP 3/07
BFP 5/07 - Kylie born 2/08.       BPF 2/09 - Alexandra born 10/09.
TTC since 8/13 - diagnosed difficulty conceiving due to LP defect. Took vitamin B and Vitex Berry to help lengthen.
BFP 2/14 - Missed M/C found at 8.5 weeks. D&C at 9w2d. Partial Molar Pregnancy.

    I think in the US it has way too much of an association with a men's magazine. I don't think I could name my child after a publication that puts half-naked women on its cover each month.?

    I like it.  I think I've told you that before.  I didn't think of the magazine until people mentioned it.  Would he go by Max?

    I agree with this. I see Maxim magazine as the guy's equivalent of Cosmo, a little bit trashy, sort of a guilty pleasure. I wouldn't want that association with my child. If you don't have that magazine where you are, I think it is otherwise a very nice name.

    Yeah the magazine instantly comes to mind and I definitely would not want that association.

    The magazine thing isn't a big deal to me, maybe b/c I don't know anyone who reads it so it didn't come to mind right away.

    I like Maxim and I love the nn max!
