Do you do this because you want to remain anonymous? I want to put up a bio but on the hand I don't think I'm ready to share with the whole world who I am. Does this sound silly? I keep thinking maybe someone from highschool or my in laws or my mom (since she knows I use this site) will find it. So, does anyone else feel like this? Is that why you use pix of animals and use avatars? TIA!

I had my dog and I've had a pic of me in my avatar, but have decided that I would rather remain anonymous.

Not too long ago someone copied pics of girls and scrawled some nasty comments on them. It was a good internet security reminder!

I have my dog because I don't want to be easily identified at just a glance through the forum. I don't mind if people know what I look like in general.

Besides, my dog is freakin' cute

I've had pictures up in the past, but I am too lazy to do a bio.

That was my reasoning. I used to have more personal info on here but became uncomfortable with it. I still occasionally post pics of myself on my blog but only very rarely.

yeah, my dog is less personal. The photos are so tiny anyway that I'm not sure anyone could make you out in the avatar place. Pics in the siggy, however are larger, but I don't know how to do that (I'm such a technology loser). I'd probably still put my dog since seeing him makes me smile.

you know, now that I look at it closer - I can't even really tell it;s my dog! LOL, it's a close-up of the dog face with DH;s shoulder on the right. We were driving in the car

After the recent incident where someone defiled a few pictures of the ladies on here and made some horrible comments I think I need to take my pic down. I haven't yet simply because I keep forgetting. I like when there is a strong image to go with the screen names as it helps me keep everyone straight. For example, BlackSheep always has a great little something at the bottom of her posts. When Smilee changed hers to the new one it took me a second to put things together. Perhaps I am more a picture person than a name person.

I had a pic of me in my siggy but now prefer to remain anonymous. I'm private about my IF and you never know who you might run into. I'm also with CBL on this - not too long ago someone took pics of other nesties and wrote some very offensive stuff on them.
