Fruit and ice! If I wasn't eating fruit or chewing/sucking on ice, I was puking. I think it was the "cold" factor. I was that pregnant lady eating the banana from her cart while shopping at the grocery store. LOL
I hope you find something that works for you! Feel better!
Since I have never been pg I don't know about m/s yet. However, I have been very nauseated for other reasons (illness/motion-sick, etc). What has worked really well is keeping a little something in your stomach if at all possible, such as some saltine crackers. I buy organic, non-hydrogenated oil ones from Whole Foods. My mom told me that when she had MS w me, she would keep a sleeve of saltines with her. She had them by her bed, in her purse, car, at work.... she said even if she wasn't hungry or the thought of them made her sick she would still eat a couple and it would help. I know it has helped me when I've been sick, and when I am pg and having MS I'll try them then too.
I had to have something in my mouth all_the_time or I'd feel sick ... and then when I felt sick I wouldn't eat enough, and I'd feel sicker ... etc. etc. etc.
So, hard candy was my secret. Peppermints, jolly ranchers (hello bad sugars, lol) - I was desperate! I was also a speech therapist, so that was a little funny - def not supposed to have something in your MOUTH while teaching a kid to say an "s" sound, lol.
Oooh! Another one ... eating before you get out of bed. I realize that with a toddler that's probably much easier said than done, but that helped me a lot too. If I could keep something on my night stand to take a few bites of before I even lifted my head off the pillow, I could keep the MS away for a bit.
I had to eat on schedule and not allow myself to get hungry. I also did better when I ate more protein, which meant I had to find ways to incorporate it into my breakfast. I found sour candies also worked.
- eating a few crackers or something before I got out of bed.
-preggie pops or other hard candy
-ginger ale
-not letting myself get too hungry. I had to force myself to eat a little something every couple of hours even if I had to gag as I was forcing it down
-Really...the only thing that took away my MS was a prescription for Zofran.
getting out of bed and going to the kitchen as soon as I wake up and constantley having food in my stomach were the only things that helped me. I also carried around alot of little hard candies to suck on. It would hit me really quickly and if I couldn't get to anything fast I would get sick. I once ate a candy bar in the grocery line because I couldn't wait another second-I'm sure the checkout lady thought I was nutso. ?
GL, I hope it goes away soon!?

But, I was able to keep down easy mac and cheese in the 1st tri 65% of the time and that usually helped me for about a half hour or sour dough pretzel bites also worked about the same. I hope yours gets better soon.
