Right now we are chosing between two hospitals. I was looking on the websites to see when we can visit and came upon this awesome tidbit:

As a maternity patient you will have special needs. To make your stay with us more comfortable, you may wish to bring:

   ?   Support Bra/Underwear
   ?   Brush and Comb

During your stay, we will provide:

   ?   Disposable underwear and sanitary pads
   ?   Nursing gown
   ?   One T-Shirt for your newborn
   ?   Cloth Diapers

my hospital had a few really thin prefolds, i assume to be intended for burp cloths because there was no receptacle for dirties, no pins, and no covers.

They also have tubs in every room and are very natural birth friendly.

Giving birth in CA means you have some great options.

Although, I must say- the "1 t-shirt for you newborn" part made me giggle. Do you really have to bring clothing for your child? I bet that's just their silly way of saying, "Please don't steal all our sh!t- here, take one, thanks!".
