I can't give you specific stats but its a pretty common post even here. I can tell you that I didn't spot at all during my first pregnancy but I did with this one.
I hope this helps!

I don't know statistically how common it is, but I spotted twice during my 1st tri and it turned out ok. Spotting sucks. I'd call the dr in the morning so they know and hopefully they'll bring you in for an u/s for reassurance. GL.
Do you think they could even see anything this early? The appointment lady scheduled my "pregnancy confirmation" ultrasound for March 6 - she said she didn't want to schedule it too early because she didn't want to stress me out if they couldn't see anything.
Thanks for the replies, I'm trying not to freak. I had some spotting right before, during, and after my BFP, but I took that first for AF, then for implantation spotting. I haven't had any spotting since the Friday before Valentine's day, and then today I had some more. Sucks.
I am four weeks today but I just noticed when I wiped some brown tinge. I have an appointment for my second beta tomorrow. I am going to ask. I will let you know! My husband checked our books though and it says it is not anything to worry about if it goes away after a day. Otherwise call the dr. Hope that helps!
I spotted on and off consistently with out rhyme or reason from weeks 5 - 8. At my 8 wk appt I told NP and we got a viability u/s b/c of it. Strangely, it never came back again after the appointment that night. So far things are moving along just fine for us.

At this point, all they would be able to see is the sac. I had an u/s at 6 weeks and there was just a sac, but at 7 weeks there was a hb.

I have been spotting since 5dpo. ?It drives me crazy, but nothing seems to be wrong that they can see from my ultrasounds. ?I was really concerned at first so they did my betas--doubled and then some. ?The spotting continued, so we did ultrasound in early 6 weeks. ?There was a heartbeat! ?(123 bpm) ?Spotting continued, had another ultrasound (due to a minor car accident) in early 7 weeks--baby almost doubled in size and hearbeat went up to 150! ?
So...so far I am an example of one of those people who spot and things are fine <knock on wood>. ?My spotting is about every other day, sometimes like actual spotting, sometimes just faint on toilet paper...but always brown. ?(sorry if TMI). ?It totally sucks b/c we never think anything good coming from spotting, but I have to just be happy and optimistic each day. ?My doc's words were--"It's not normal, but it happens."
?I hope this is helpful. ?I myself always look for others who talk about spotting and being fine to comfort myself, so I hope I've done that for you! ? ?
