Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Does anyone just use plain old gerber bottles?

With DD, I had Dr. Browns and Avent with DD, then drop-ins after the DD refused the other 2.

The Dr. Browns and avent are BPA, so I don't want to use them again, and I want a bottle that I can pump directly into when the baby is little.

I found the below gerber bottles for $3.00 for three, 4oz bottles.  They seem like they would be fine, but I don't know anyone who uses "regular" bottles anymore and wondered if I was missing something?

  • LOL...this is a good question. I don't know anyone that does....but I wonder why not?!?!?

  • we use plain classic even flo bottles for DD. 2.99 and they are wonderful for her. We invested so much money in others like vent aire and soothies but these worked best!
  • we use the gerber among others. Daycare says she likes those best. They are like $3 for 3. Last week I had a coupon and there was a sale so I got 2 8 oz bottles for $1 total!

They are all BPA free too.

    Here is the link....  duh.

  • I got 2 free medela bottles at a babyfair and bought 1 evenflo bottle for DS and he likes both. I used Gerber NUK bottles for DD when she was using bottles. I can't bring myself to spend that much money on bottles--The evenflo is BPA free.
  • We do and have never had a problem with DS taking them. They work really well.

  • Yup we use the cheapie Gerber and Evenflo plastic bottles. We used Dr. Browns for a short time to see if it helped with her gas, but they werent any better then the Evenflos. We eventually found the right formula to help with her gas problem and stuck with the Gerber/Evenflo bottles and have no issues now.

  • DS used to feed from the cheapie evenflo bottles, but now I use them strictly for pumping and, sometimes, storing BM.  He is now using the Playtex Dropins since the Evenflo ones would leak all over him.

  • We use the Gerber ones.  The rubber nipple ones worked great, so we bought a set of silicone nipple ones, and they leak like crazy.  Maybe we just got a dysfunctional set.
