Good morning ladies! I am going to try to make this post as least confusing as possible

This cycle, my 3rd IUI cycle, I was on clomid for 5 days and then I was suspose to do 75iu of Follistim. So yesterday was the day for my injection. The injection was a tiny amount in an insulin syringe. A frined of mine (an RN) did the injection for me. She got all of the air out of the syringe and did the injection. Afterwards we were talking about how wierd it was that it had so many air bubbles before and then she pulled back on the plunger again... and there was still about the same amount of meds left in the syringe and when we started. The plunger didnt push out all the meds. I freaked out. I called my RE's office and of course it was in the afternoon on a saturday so no one answered. So we called the physicians like- I don't know if it was a true medical emergancy but to me it was. So my RE called back and said that it was no big deal and that he was sure they compensated for the plunger not pushing all the meds out when they drew it up. I read on the internet that 75iu's in an insulin syringe is = to .9 and if that is the case then there was like .6 left in the syringe. I just don't think that sounds right. If they gave me 75iu i should have injected 75iu. Am I over- thinking this? If you made it this far thanks for reading!
Re: Doubting my RE...
sorry that you are freaking and didn't get a good answer from the RE. I'm not totally sure about your question - but I would say that even if you didn't get all the meds in, it doesn't mean all is lost...the meds would increase growth, but the clomid should have also helped. You just may need a little more time for them to grow. Are you scheduled for a u/s? The RE should be able to tell at that point where you are and compensate with more meds if necessary.
GL - and hang in there!!
