3rd Trimester

nausea in 3rd tri?

For about a week, I've been feeling nauseated on and off throughout the day.  It's usually worse in the morning, although last night it was pretty bad when I woke up in the middle of the night (to pee 7 or 8 times).  I asked my doc about it and she said that it's normal for morning sickness to return in third tri.  Anyone else experience this?

  • I have been sick my entire pregnancy.  I am finally off of my medicine because of great advise from one of the nurses at my doctor's.  It is hard to eat when you feel like you are going to be sick...but if you can do it, it really helps.  I try my hardest to eat every two hours.  It is usually one or two vanilla wafers between meals, so it does not have to be big! (This helps with heart burn too!) The goal is to not let your belly get empty.  I still wake up and get sick some mornings, but this has prevented me from getting sick the rest of the day.  Good luck!  I hope this is helpful.
  • I never had morning sickness throughout my pregnancy, but lately I have has a few bouts of nausea here and there

  • Glad to know I'm not alone!  Though I'm sorry the rest of you are feeling like crap too.  Stick out tongue  And I agree, baby, that small snacks help.  I do think the nausea is sometimes caused by not eating enough.  I really have no interest in food these days, but I try to force myself to eat at least a little bit, as often as possible.  GL to all of you!

  • I've been dealing with nausea and no appetite all week. If my stomach starts growling its like "we need to eat now". So sad.
  • I've been having bouts of nausea and dizziness.  My doc recommended drinking 60 ounces of water a day, eating every 2 hours, and eating foods that were iron rich.  In the week that I've been doing this I feel 100 times better.  Good luck!  :)

  • I've had several bouts of nausea and I'm pretty early in my third tri after feeling pretty great all of 2nd tri.  These posts make me nervous!

  • I've had some of this and my drs advice is basically just always drink lots of water and rest if/when needed.
  • Just this past week I started to feel small bouts of nausea here and there.  So far, it is really minor and goes away quickly - nothing like the terrible pain of 1st and early 2nd tri m/s, but definitely there.  Smells have started to bother me again too.
  • Vomited a couple times this week. First time since 20 weeks.
