She calls both me and my DH "daddy." Sometimes she'll call me Amy, which I guess is close to mommy, but then again she calls her pacifier Amy too. What the heck?

Well, glad it's not just me. DD will only say "dada" and not "mama." She's got other words, like "ta-ta" and "ga-ga," but that's it. She makes nothing resembling an "m" sound.
Lol at Amy, though. Amy's a nice name, for you or the pacifier!

The thing I don't understand is that before she started saying "daddy" she would call DH "dada" and me "mama." But once she started saying "da-yee" and then "daddy" that is what we both became (and she even calls my DH "Adam" sometimes, lol). If you ask her to say mommy (and basically any other word) she will do it at that moment, but she will not address me as mommy. Stubborn!

I know "dada" is much easier to say than "mama." Maybe it's something about the sound of the "ohmm" in "mommy" that she can't make yet. I'm not positive, but I know there are certain sounds that take kids a long time to master. Maybe cat knows?
Isabelle did the same thing. She called me momma for the longest time & Jason was dadda at the same time but then she started calling him Daddy & Momma was lost. ?This went on for a couple months, I begged her almost everyday to call me Mommy, finally she did! ?It was one of the happiest days of my life!
The triplets call everyone dada. Me, DH, grandparents, their Mom, random strangers at the mall, etc. It's very strange becuase they don't have a dada so we're not sure where they got it. We joke all the time that they're on the search for a dada when they say it to strangers.
