  I've never heard of that before. I'd think Tabby would be a NN for Tabitha.

  I tried looking it up, and a lot of sites say it was a nn for Elizabeth. (?) It was was a nn for Thomas.

  I think that's what people call a baby for a nn when they haven't picked a name yet.

   It's short for "To Be Determinded" and spelled TBD.

  In the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" book series, I think the Tibby character's full name was Tabitha.  I dig it.

  A friend of mine went by Tibby. It was short for Tibrina (sounds like Sabrina, but with a T) I liked it. It is the only time I have ever heard that name or nickname.
