I am actually in my first trimester, but we are looking into what kind of car would be baby friendly. We currently have a two door coupe which is great for us, but with a baby and baby gear I don't want to have to push up the seat then push the seat back over and over. So do you mothers out there have any suggestions or would you recommend what you currently drive? Thanks

Mercedes ML 500 (it's the SUV). I would get a four door anything before a two door. A majority of the mom'sthat I know have SUV's so that they can put the stroller and whatnot in the back.

Ditto. I drive an ML430 and I love it! It has the perfect amount of space for all of our baby gear, plus the groceries, and lots more. IMO, an SUV is the way to go.
I drive a Honda Odyssey minivan but I also have five kids. I drove an Acura MDX when I only had three kids, and for awhile when we had the girls, but the minivan is way better for five.
If I were you, I'd get one of those cute crossover things... like the Mazda CX-7, the Subaru Tribeca, or the Nissan Murano. I love the look of those cars, and there are tons of them out there now! They would have enough cargo room for you and will generally get better gas mileage than the larger SUVs.
08 mazda tribute. i love it.
side curtain airbags, LATCH, all sorts of great safety features, and i bought it before i planned on having a baby

I have a Hyundai Sonata. I was so surprised by the amount of room in the trunk.
DH has a 4 door Dodge truck.
I have an 08 ford escape. I love it. I got it in june of 07 and still don't have any complaints about. I am bummed to have to trade it now that baby #3 is on the way. Great for 2 kids but 3 just won't fit. Good gas mileage too. We get about 26 mpg in the city and close to 30 on the hwy, and that sticker doesnt even say it goes that high!
Bff has a honda pilot though and it is awesome. She has the 3rd row seating and when we visit we take hers places and we still all fit. Thats 2 carseats, a booster and 4 adults. Yay!
